Birdsafari 29th of April 2018

Gannets passing by.

On the 29.04.2018 I was on a bird safari arranged by “Nordkapp og omegn turlag” to celebrate the yearly return of the Puffin bird. A beautiful trip in a nice weather together with more than 60 participants. The boat Lundekongen (Puffin king) brought us around the small islands called Gjesværstappan. The mighty white-tailed eagles can be seen hovering overhead as they hunt for prey. Puffins, Kittiwakes, Guillemots, Razorbills, Cormorants, Arctic Skuas, Fulmars, and Gannets are part of the rich bird life at Gjesværstappan.

I like to thank Nordkapp og omegn turlag, Barnas turlag and the crew on board Lundekongen for an amazing trip.

Find Gjesværstappan on Google maps.
