All my bird safari of summer 2024 was great and allowed me to test a new camera. I don’t drive buses as much as earlier year, but if you order a bird safari by North Cape Tours you can still end up with me as your driver. I don’t know how many trips I have had during my time as a photographer but I still enjoy these beautiful trips and always get back to them.

Puffin
It’s impossible to talk about a bird safari to Gjesværstappan without mentioning the beautiful Puffin. This one is catching fish to bring back to its kid.
The Atlantic puffin, also known as the common puffin, is a seabird species in the auk family. It is the only puffin native to the Atlantic.

Guillemot
The common guillemot is a large auk. It has a circumpolar distribution in low-Arctic and boreal waters in the North Atlantic and North Pacific. It spends most of its time at sea, only coming to land to breed on rocky cliff shores or islands.

The white-tailed eagle
The white-tailed eagle, sometimes known as the ‘sea eagle’, is a large bird of prey, widely distributed across temperate Eurasia. Like all eagles, it is a member of the family Accipitridae which also includes other diurnal raptors such as hawks, kites, and harriers.
